American Pickers Danielle Colby Shares Swimsuit Photo to "Make a Splash" Celebwell
Danielle Colby is celebrating a new season of American Pickers – in her swimsuit. In one of her most recent social media posts the reality star flaunts her amazing figure in a tiny bathing suit, getting major attention from her followers. "Its a new week, in a new season. Make a splash, friends!" she captioned the post. "Mermaid sighting!" commented a follower. "Stunning," added another. How does the 47-year-old keep herself fit? Here are some of her top lifestyle tips.
Danielle is a big proponent of meditating. "Meditation is to dive all the way within, beyond thought, to the source of thought and pure consciousness. It enlarges the container, every time you transcend. When you come out, you come out refreshed, filled with energy and enthusiasm for life," she quoted David Lynch as saying in a post. "When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress," says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:
- Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
- Building skills to manage your stress
- Increasing self-awareness
- Focusing on the present
- Reducing negative emotions
- Increasing imagination and creativity
- Increasing patience and tolerance
- Lowering resting heart rate
- Lowering resting blood pressure
- Improving sleep quality
Danielle, who suffers from uterine fibroids, prioritizes her gut health. One way she does this is by drinking Kombucha."I always understood the importance of probiotics but now more than ever I'm focusing on staying positive and being proactive with my healing. This is my personal experience so please follow your own journey based on your doctors recommendations. Each healing journey is unique," she wrote.
Danielle loves swimming. "Throwing it back to a sunny day in my favorite place," she captioned a recent post. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.
Danielle understands the health benefits of taking baths, which have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.
You can find Danielle paddleboarding in the ocean. "Soaking up ALL the energy from that big battery in the sky!" she wrote in the caption of a photo of herself out in the ocean. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and also a great form of cardio. The water sport can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140 pound male and 436 for a female the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.
