Boise State Public Radio published a statement on itswebsiteas to why there aren't any new Twitter posts from them.

Boise State Public Radio is a locally-operated public media station here in Idaho, that receives most of its funding from local business underwriters and individual members (in the form of memberships, major gifts, and vehicle donations). Some of their funding comes from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and Boise State University. They are an NPR affiliate that purchases and broadcasts NPR programming.

Boise State Public Radio made the decision to pause posting on Twitter as a sign of solidarity with NPR and in support of the editorial independence and integrity of journalism across the NPR network.

NPR CEO John Lansing wrote, “We are not putting our journalism on platforms that have demonstrated an interest in undermining our credibility and the public’s understanding of our editorial independence.”

Boise State Public Radio says they will no longer be sharing from their official Twitter account and will stop supporting the platform with paid ads.

They also say that their audience can continue to remain engaged with them through their website and on the air.
