Caldwell and Vallivue high schools revive long-awaited football rivalry at Simplot Stadium
CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a recent news release, the City of Caldwell, Caldwell High and Vallivue High Schools invite the community to the CHS vs. VHS football game on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
This is the first time since 2003 that these two teams have played at Simplot Stadium. There will be a special flag presentation at the start of the game.
"Having watched many of these games as a student, I am thrilled to have the Cougars back at Simplot Stadium for this football game. This will be a special night to celebrate not only our community but the great athletes and administrators at both schools," said City of Caldwell Mayor Jarom Wagoner.
Some additional information:
- Parking is free.
- The cost of admission for adults and students without activity cards is $6, $4 for students with activity cards, $3 for senior citizens and elementary students and free for preschool and under. Only cash is accepted.
- CHS fans are urged to wear blue, and VHS fans are asked to wear gold.
- The Vallivue High fan section is at the stadium's east end, and Caldwell High fans are on the west end. All seating is on the south side of the field.
Backpacks, smoking or vaping and alcohol are not allowed. Students should adhere to their school dress codes.
