Despite beating him in merchandise sales, top WWE star explains why he doesnt feel on the same le
In less than a year, LA Knight has catapulted himself into the main event scene of WWE. From being barely featured on television to competing against AJ Styles at WrestleMania, Knight has worked hard to become a top star. However, The Megastar feels a bit skeptical about his position. According to Knight, he hasn’t reached the level of a star like Cody Rhodes.
While conversing with him on ‘What Do You Wanna Talk About?’, Knight opened up about his stature in WWE. Despite beating Rhodes in merchandise sales last year, the former Eli Drake said that he doesn’t feel fans put him on the same level as The American Nightmare. In response, the latter disagreed. Rhodes referenced his interactions with Sami Zayn on the road to WrestleMania 39 as an example.
The Undisputed WWE Champion claimed that having several main event-caliber stars was a major positive. While LA Knight said that he noticed the same thing, he reiterated that fans still don’t put him on Rhodes’ level. Not only has The Defiant One topped lists among WWE merchandise sellers, but his on-screen presentation has improved.
I don't feel like, and maybe I'm being overly humble, I don't feel like people have put me on that same level. If I'm honest.LA Knight via ‘What Do You Wanna Talk About?’
Since SummerSlam 2023, he has fought in multiple world title matches. In addition to that, Knight has competed against the promotion’s biggest stars, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton. Having said that, the 41-year-old has yet to win a major title on the main roster. However, that could change very soon.
LA Knight and Cody Rhodes prepare for major championship bouts at SummerSlam
With SummerSlam almost two weeks away, LA Knight and Cody Rhodes are preparing for huge bouts at the PLE. The Megastar will be challenging Logan Paul for the United States Championship in Cleveland. For months, Knight has called out the social media star for his lackluster reign with the title.
In fact, Paul’s part-time schedule prompted Knight to fly to Puerto Rico and invade his house. After pinning the champion in a triple threat MITB qualifier, the former TNA star was granted a title shot at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Rhodes has resumed his battle with The Bloodline.
However, he’ll be facing a different Tribal Chief this time around. The American Nightmare will square off against Solo Sikoa at the Biggest Party of the Summer. Needless to say, fans will be hoping that the two top stars walk out of Cleveland Browns Stadium with championships on their shoulders.
