Ghost believes that your actions have created paracausal ripples throughout the Pale Heart that you and the Vanguard are now exploring.

He mentions how such ripples can manifest from a wellspring of power that is located within a cave in the Seclusion.

You will need to search for the manifestation of darkness to synergize with it if you are to gain an upper hand against The Witness.

How To Get Found in The Dark Quest?

Found in the Dark is one of the quests that become available from Ghost during the Destined Heroes Exotic Quest.

This quest along with Lost in the Light may be acquired from Ghost after speaking with him during quest step 5 of the exotic Quest.

The Destined Heroes Exotic Quest becomes available once you have reached quest step 29 of The Final Shape main quest.

Found in The Dark Quest Steps

Step 1: Find a manifestation of Darkness in the cave in the Seclusion

After accepting this quest, you will need to make your way to the Seclusion and enter the cave marked by a waypoint. (Track the quest to make this easy)

The waypoint will eventually bring you to the cave and within it there will be a Prismatic Chest that you can interact with (Synergize With Darkness)

This will unlock a Prismatic Ability (Strand Melee/Darkness Ability) that you may now use with your Prismatic Subclass.

Step 2: Investigate Shadow Legion activity in the Transgression

After interacting with the Prismatic Chest, you can interact with the nearby marker that lets you begin the “Home, Part I” activity.

This will involve you locating Psion Sentinels that you must defeat as well as disrupt the Shadow Legion Operations in the area.

Disrupting their operations involves disabling Generator Shields, planting Artillery Antennas, and defeating an Artillery Commander.

Step 3: Return to the cave in the Seclusion and commune with the Darkness

Once you have completed the previous activity, follow the waypoint to the next Prismatic Chest and interact with it to synergize with the Darkness.

This will reward you with a Strand Aspect/Darkness Ability that you will now be able to use with your Prismatic Subclass.

Step 4: Destroy Shadow Legion mining operations in the Divide

Your next task is to head to the Divide and destroy the Shadow Legion mining operations, which is done by starting the “Home, Part II” activity.

This can be found by traveling to the waypoint and interacting with the flag that starts the activity, and you can also launch this from the quest menu to get closer.

The “Home, Part II” activity involves you investigating the Shadow Legion activity in the area, disabling the Generator Shields, and destroying the Generators of Light Harvesters.

Eventually, you face off against the Shadow Legion at the location where Zavala’s memory of his home can be found. 

Step 5: Paracausal ripples have unearthed a manifestation of Darkness

After completing the “Home, Part II” activity, make your way to the next Prismatic Chest and interact with it to complete the quest.

This will unlock the Strand Super/Darkness Ability, which will be another addition to your Prismatic Subclass.

Found in The Dark Quest Rewards

Completing the activities in the Found in The Dark quest will provide you with XP along with equipment that you can pick up along the way.

The Prismatic Chests that you open to Synergize With Darkness will reward you with additions to your Strand Subclass.

The completion of Found in The Dark is a way to unlock more of your Strand Abilities for your Prismatic Subclass.

Completing this quest also unlocks the Dark Prismatic Grenade for the Prismatic Subclass.
