No Mans Sky Getting the Atlas Passes (V1, V2, V3)

I didn’t know how to get an Atlas pass when I first played this game. The guides I read weren’t helpful. So here’s a quick and easy explanation of how I got the blueprints for Atlas passes v1, v2, and v3.

Getting The Atlas Passes (and Other Blueprints)

This is how I got all 3 Atlas pass blueprints without doing the Atlas quest.

Let’s say you’re playing No Man’s Sky, collecting resources and discovering new plants and animals. You find a cargo container that needs an Atlas pass V1 to open. Or maybe you’re at a space station and see a door that needs an Atlas pass V3.

• Go to a space station and talk to the cartographer. Get several Planetary Charts (secure site). These can help you find Manufacturing Facilities or Operations Centers, where you can get the blueprints.
• Find a Manufacturing Facility and break open the door. I use a scatterblaster gun. Watch out for sentinels when you break in. They’ll attack, but can’t get you inside. I park my ship near the door for a quick escape.
• Inside, find and use the console. You’ll get three reward options. Choose “Learn new recipe” to get a “factory override unit”.

Just like with “Salvaged data”, you want to collect the “factory override unit” points to then spend on the blueprints you want.

You’ll notice on the right side of the ‘store’ you have the options for the 3 atlas passes.

• Repeat numbers 2. and 3. until you have enough “factory override unit” points to get the Atlas passes!

You might be able to get Atlas pass blueprints from the Atlas quest too, but this is the way I found. This method also works for getting other blueprints, like the Warp Hypercore or Magnetic Resonator. You’ll still need to find materials to make the Atlas Passes, but for me, getting the blueprints was the hard part.
