Ways to help out in the Treasure Valley
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Today is Giving Tuesday and there are plenty of ways to help out around the Valley. Here are a few places you can help:
CBS2 is teaming up with local businessesfor the Great Idaho Food Drive. Donate nonperishable food like canned protein, fruits, vegetables, soups, stews, whole grain pasta, rice and cereal to any Treasure Valley Les Schwab Tire Center, TDS fiber or CBS2 studios in downtown Boise.
Idaho's Largest Toy Drive kicks will run through Dec. 6. Bring unwrapped toys to the Sportsman's Warehouse at 3797 East Fairview Ave in Meridian.
You can donate money or goods to the Salvation Army online or find locationsHERE. Alternatively, you could sign up as a volunteer on registertoring.com
CASA of Southwest Idaho will help children who have experienced abuse or neglect make sure their voices and needs are heard. You can also sign up as a CASA advocate and volunteer HERE.
