Khusein Askhabov is a Russian fighter who was born on February 13, 1995, in Chechnya. Askhabov is expected to make his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 219 inside the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. The undefeated MMA fighter has a professional record of 23-0 and has already made a huge fan base for himself.
Askhabov has over 4 million Instagram followers before he even made his UFC debut. It suggests the level of popularity the fighter has gained throughout his fighting career. Askhabov started fighting professionally in 2012 in one of his local MMA promotions. After stacking up wins, Askhabov eventually got an opportunity to be a part of the World Warriors Fighting Championship in 2014.
At WWFC, Askhabov fought ten fights and dominated every single one of his opponents. Askhabov won multiple belts at WWFC and was a highly entertaining fighter. The fighter is a complete martial artist with a great balance of Wrestling and striking. The ‘Lion’ has 16 finishes out of which 10 were submissions.
Askhabov was scheduled to make his UFC debut in 2021 against Joanderson Brito but due to visa issues, the fighter failed to come to the US. Later in 2022, Khusein pulled out his name against Herbert Burns due to an injury. However, this Saturday the fighter finally made his much-anticipated debut.

He wrote: “It took a long time to reach this goal. Always believed in me. Saturday Inshallah and still 24-0-0. People leave our lives when we need them and come when we no longer care about them. Now it’s time to storm UFC.”
Khusein Askhabov is an immense talent and has the ability to shock UFC in the near future. The fighter might pull off a Jiri Prochazka or Alex Pereira by winning the championship belt with very few UFC fights. It would be interesting to see how the fighter will do in the biggest and toughest MMA promotion in the world.
